Hey Claudio,

Do you know the animator Hiroyuki Imaishi? He is a student of the Kanada-style of animation! Great stuff! I just bought the Kanada "IKO" special book from 1986. Cool!

I love your passion for these old anime. I love them too! I will be posting some tributes of my own in the near future!

Brian, THANKS! I felt that to erase the outline was a good choice, it gives a sense of an icon.

Thanks Shoki, I erased the out line as an experiment and it looks better to me, it' half cell half illustration, something that fits with a shoot like this, I feel.

Grant, it's a real joy to read your comment, Kanada is one of my prefer artists, I grew up with japanese animation on TV, one of these days I'll try to find the book you already have in internet, I already have something concerning Mazinga Z and Jettar Robot, the first series,I have problems to consider those like products made in economy or "limited animation"...by the way I use to animate traditionally in full animation till 2003 circa, but since 1998 the passion for those nippon-gems grew more and more.In a way I started to go back again to my childhood.I'll check on youtube the animator you mentioned...the Kanada stile left a deep sign in new generations I guess.
I'm super curious to see these anime-influences in your work.I saw that you stopped to post on your blog. I'm looking forward to see your drawings again. Ciao

Rob, GRAZIE! M'e' rimasto impresso.

Ciao Lorelay, THANK YOU!soon also the video with a new song...stay tuned (> _ ° )
